Jessie Pellant

Jessie, a Colorado native, is the founder and managing partner of StudioIP.   Authenticity , transparency and tenacity have made her successful in the courtroom, boardroom and in negotiations. Her practice focuses on advising clients in high level business strategy identifying and securing the most valuable asset of the business, the intellectual property. She assists with acquiring, and protecting, or enforcing trademarks, copyrights, and patents working alongside our creative team at StudioIP.

Jessie negotiates and drafts technology transactions, agreements affecting intellectual property ownership including development agreements, licenses, terms of service and privacy policies in several industries including media, software, consumer products, automotive, construction and entertainment. She initiates takedowns for DMCA violations and product infringement to counteract bad actors and counterfeit products and litigates for the protection of her clients.

 In recognition of Jessie’s ability to serve her clients as a trusted advisor, she has been listed as a Colorado Super Lawyer for the past 9 years. She is listed as a 5280 Top Lawyer in 2021 and 2022 and was awarded Denver’s 40 Under 40 in 2022. When not working for clients, or on the business, Jessie enjoys time with her husband and 3 daughters in the great outdoors.

Tim Sullivan

Tim is a trial lawyer and trusted advisor with more than a decade of experience representing innovative companies in hotly contested intellectual property and other complex commercial disputes. Prior to joining StudioIP, Tim was a partner at international law firm Faegre Drinker Biddle, where he represented leading technology companies in venues throughout the country.

At StudioIP, Tim brings a client-centered, listen-first approach to advocacy and advising. Through this approach, he designs and executes powerful, customized legal solutions for clients in intellectual property disputes, the development of dispute-avoidance strategies and best practices, securing and enforcing intellectual property rights, technology transactions, and commercial agreements.

Tim represents innovative companies of all kinds, from start-ups to venture capital firms to Fortune 50 public companies, across a wide variety of industries, including e-commerce, software, medical device, automotive, and consumer products.

Larissa Goodman

Larissa’s passion for Intellectual Property law began in collegiate athletics and developed throughout her time at the University of Nebraska. Prior to returning home to Colorado and joining StudioIP, Larissa was the Nebraska Licensing and Branding Assistant, working with licensees, attorneys, and fans alike to protect, promote, and enhance the Nebraska Cornhuskers brand. Larissa also proved her skill as a transactional attorney in the Weibling Entrepreneurship Clinic counseling startup and nonprofit business clients on a variety of legal issues. As a result, she received the Koley Jessen Entrepreneurship Award for her diligence and distinction in advising her clients. Larissa’s current practice focuses on Intellectual Property protection and enforcement, licensing, and crafting business agreements for her clients.

Larissa is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Colorado Women’s Bar Association, and the Denver Bar Association.

Outside of the office, Larissa enjoys spending quality time and cooking with her husband, being in the outdoors with their Australian Shepherd, Kipling, and continuing her role as an instructor at a local Pure Barre studio.

Chris Stanton

Not your typical patent prosecutor. Chris works with new business ventures in the areas of trademark and patent prosecution, licensing, and clearance work. He manages global patent and trademark portfolios for several high-growth clients. His focus is on the overall IP strategy for a company and providing a comprehensive approach to satisfying their business desires. Chris came from a big law background, after a previous career in engineering prior to attending law school.

Chris is a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the IP Inn of Court.

Outside the office Chris can be found skiing with his two sons, listening to podcasts with his wife, riding his motorcycle or playing guitar.

Emily Klode

Emily began with StudioIP as a summer associate and returned to the firm after spending time working at a large AmLaw 100 firm. Emily attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for her undergraduate degree where she was a football and basketball cheerleader and graduated with honors. After college, Emily moved to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado Law School where she was a member of the Intellectual Property Inn of Court and interned for Chief Justice Boatright at the Colorado Supreme Court.  

 

Emily has been in the privacy law field since 2018 and has since helped bring both large and small public, private, and non-profit companies into compliance with global and state privacy laws. Her expertise includes the EU and UK's General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and its regulations, the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA), the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), among other privacy laws. Emily's current practice focuses on privacy compliance and business agreements. 

 

Outside of the office, Emily spends her time creating art, writing, and skiing.

Eileen Ellefson

Eileen is the glue under the paper, our paralegal. Eileen is keeping track of all our ducks, making sure they are in a row and able to swim smoothly. Eileen came from big law where the hours were long and the details many, and now she can breathe a bit easier while still making a huge difference in our lives and the lives of our clients.

Eileen loves family time and vacations, who doesn’t?

Vince Merenda

As a legal intern for StudioIP Vince is a very valuable part of our team. Vince has externed and been a summer associate of the firm and remains on our team while tackling law school.

Vince hails from Florida, but is currently studying in South Carolina. Former college athlete and crushing learning IP law.

Tatum Barton Lowry

Tatum is a veteran legal intern working with StudioIP for the past 2 years. Tatum is hard working and sharp as a tack. While attending law school in Florida, Tatum is a Colorado native.

Tatum was a college athlete at the University of Colorado and her work ethic has not let up.
